Medical Air Services Association (MASA), is an international company dedicated to providing life-saving emergency assistance from home or while traveling anywhere in the world. MASA provides coverage 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to protect our members against catastrophic financial loss.

The MASA Platinum Membership Provides the Following Benefits:

  • Emergency Air Transportation - Medically staffed aircraft are on standby 24 hours a day for members in the contiguous United States, Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean and the Bahamas.
  • Helicopter Transportation - MASA will provide helicopter transportation to the nearest appropriate medical facility capable of attending to your needs.
  • Ground Ambulance Transportation - Ground ambulance transportation will be provided from your residence or the site of an illness or injury to the nearest appropriate medical facility capable of attending to your medical needs.
  • Mortal Remains - MASA will provide air transportation for the return of mortal remains whether death is due to accident or sickness.
  • World Wide Coverage - Your coverage shall be extended to a worldwide basis when notice is given to MASA in writing of your intent to travel outside the basic coverage area.
  • Escort Transportation - Space permitting, MASA will arrange for your spouse, family member or companion to accompany you in-flight.
  • Recuperation/Repatriation - Should you and your treating physician determine that recuperation near home is feasible, air transportation will be provided.
  • Return Transportation - Included are the arrangements and air transportation for your return home.
  • Non-Injury Transportation - A family member may be selected and flown roundtrip via common carrier to the location where you are hospitalized for more than seven days.
  • Minor Children/Grandchildren Return - Your medical emergency could leave minor children/grandchildren stranded. MASA will provide air transportation back home. When necessary, an attendant will ensure their safe return home.
  • Vehicle Return - Privately owned or rented cars, vans, motorhomes or travel trailers left unattended as a result of the medical emergency will be returned to your residence.
  • Organ Retrieval - Should you require a heart, heart/lung, liver, kidney, lung or pancreas transplant, MASA will transport the organ.
  • Organ Recipient Transportation - Should time or medical necessity dictate, MASA will fly the organ recipient candidate.

  • The average cost for an air ambulance is $10,000 and could cost as much as $50,000 with payment required before transport.
  • The finest medical facility in the world is of little value unless it is accessible.
  • Only a small percentage of health insurance policies have a provision to pay any part of an air ambulance bill.
  • Federal regulations do not govern the quality of ambulance service. MASA does!
  • MASA has a medical protocol to ensure quality of services and only staffs medical personnel who are advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Paramedics,  Registered Nurses and physicians.
  • MASA has no claim forms, no deductibles and no dollar limits per flight.
